Why ?

In any relationship, we are to benefit from the relationship, as the parties involved should be able to ensure that through the period of time, this relationship will leave a positive mark on the individuals. This mark would be made I believe with nothing other than criticism.

Why is it so difficult to take this criticism and act upon it with the mind of a learner. This criticism is not meant to merely point out the mistakes, but again how would one know whether these remarks as we can also call them, are truly valid or whether they need to be changed. As there also exists a possibility that what might be seen as a wrong by one might be acceptable to another.

I wonder at times whether there is ever any criticism which one takes in a positive manner. There are so many times when many have tried so hard to lay it down as smooth as possible, but once I get a whiff of the C word...it just doesn't matter after that !

Bloody Choices . . .

To choose I believe is one of the biggest questions that I have come across in my 24 years of life. It starts with your choices of subjects, then your choice of higher studies, followed by the choice of lifestyle, and so on and so forth. ( I have come across all these choice making crossroads). How many times do the choice made by us seem wrong a few minutes later, and many a times added to the already existing confusion there arises another feeling that what we think is what we achieve. To elaborate: If we make a choice and then we have doubts regarding that, I feel it would be the doubts which results in our non completion of our choice or else the non satisfactory completion of our choice.

I have seen this happen to me again and again, and I also feel that its not very easy to believe and believe completely in your choice that you have made. This is something I strive to do, and at times I beleive that I have gained some foothold in this line, but there are also some other times where I slip back many a steps again losing belief in many of my choicest of choices. TBhis feels the worst when I have already spend a good amount of time thinking, re thinking, thinking aloud with many , but following all that I still feel the pangs of doubt creeping in.

There is something which I have noticed, that there are some specific topics on which one tends to be faced with one too many doubts and on the other hand, there are some which we purely accept as we have decided. For instance, if I have to buy something for myself ( slightly pricey too) once bought I wouldnt bother to rethink my buy where as if I was buy some item for someone else, then I would certainly think whether I have assessed my choices right, or whether the person concerned would truly appreciate what I have picked up. This cannot be yet assumed to be a theory that one cares more for choices you have to make for others versus oneself. So many choices you make for yourself, that land you in the worst of dilemas and many a times one keeps going back and forth with the decision too.

Why dont we just stick by what we decided ! ? !

High & Higher Heels

High heeled footwear and long nails have always seemed to me the most feminine of attributes and both only accentuating the otherwise normal female body. Many a times, being tall also comes with the alter end that you are not expected to wear high heeled footwear as per rules that you have the desired average height and hence should not wear heels and look towering over others.

Why are heels associated with height alone, I agree that they do certainly impart height, but there also exists a style and beauty linked with footwear which are not particularly flat soled. Especially recently if you look at any set of footwear on display, it is very rare that you will come across some appealing to your eyes and also flat soled!

With the ever prevalent controversy that high heels are not advisable for the spine and they do contribute to health problems if not now, at a later stage; still there has been observed no decrease in the numbers buying/ wearing high heeled footwear. There is also another school of thought here which might also prove to be very important to a select few!

Crass .... Cool ?

What do people think, being crass is cool? Or is it a way to seem more amongst the crowd you are in? Or is it just being a self out of sheer boredom with oneself. I do not understand why would someone who can be sanely normal, suddenly decide to be insanely crass?

Sudden onslaught of ' language of the villagers' and the loud snorting laugh, what is so special about that anyways! And moreover why dont they just decide to take their talks and squibs to someone who will appreciate it and not someone who isn't the least bit interested.

Many wouldn't realize why this is such a big issue, and why I have taken offense to something which can be so easily pushed out of your mind as a feeble attempt at humor. My reaction has to do with the state of mind I was in and also the capacity which one's mind has to take upon the extend of continuous nudging of one's patience.
